This error is usually caused by one of the two following problems:

1). the directory or file name cannot be found. If the path is to the root, try setting a subdirectory.

2). the system cannot find the/a default windows printer.

This error has been seen when running automatic Period Reports (as part of the startup routines) even though there were no reports set up in the Period Reports menu. In this case the windows default printer turned out to be an automartically setup shared printer which no longer existed.
